Our Chairman

The late H. Ekrem ELGİNKAN was born in 1924 in İzmir.
After graduating from İzmir Boys High School, he graduated from İstanbul Technical University as a Mechanical Engineer in 1948.
He founded his first company in 1951.
He pioneered many initiatives in Turkish industry with the factories he founded.
He took his place among the immortals of the business world with his exemplary personality and the successes he achieved.
He took the first step towards the institutionalization of his companies and made this decision with the trust he felt in his colleagues. H. Ekrem ELGİNKAN, who expressed at every opportunity that he gave as a result, aimed to establish a Community managed through the Foundation. Seeing that the Community could continue its existence and make moves on its own had been his most important goal throughout his career.
The late H. Ekrem ELGİNKAN, who had the tolerance, vision and principles to say to his colleagues, "Even if I made a mistake, state it clearly in your report," continued his career without making the slightest concession in terms of obedience to justice and law. H. Ekrem Elginkan passed away on April 2, 1999.
